Old Purchases

Bom dia!

It really is a beautiful day here in Helsinki. The sun is on full blast, people are out enjoying it, tram tracks are rattling and the beaches are fully packed... Good thing we know how to really take advatage of the good weather when we have it, since we know how terrible it will get later on. 

 Yesterday my friend and I had a go at our local flee market. If you are lucky, you can get really good stuff for a bargain. We certainly were lucky, since we found Cheap Monday jeans and shirts, good CD's, a (real) leather skirt, slippers etc. alltogether costing less than a basic pretty shirt in Zara. I'm especially happy about this leather skirt I found, custom made for the lady selling it. Good thing it fits me aswell, since I've been thinking about getting one for awhile now. I'm scheming to combine it with a lush knit and a pair or high-heeled ankle boots... Any other ideas?

I've been searching for this little disc for the past how long, and now finally I found it! It's one of the earlier CD's of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, which is one of my all time favourites.

Enjoy The Silence

These editorial shots have such a rough, yet glam feel to them, they're just so interesting. Not only can you immediately see beautiful modelling, but also superb work from both the photographer and stylists. All the unexpected layers and textures... I'm absolutely adoring the leather vest in the last shot! Also the setting reminded me of Finland with the water, rocks, woods and the empty streets. It's called PEACE & QUIET - qualities our people excell in.

Recapping

 YAY finally our household can enjoy the joys of the internet again! For over a week we were forced to seek other ways to update fb statuses, blog, upload photos, search for scrummy recipes etc.... It was tough. Even before that we barely had time to settle before the machine, since it has lately been so hectic and/or busy. All is good now though, and I can finally update my blog on some of the things I've got up to this summer. Here are a few pictures to begin with. Below are photos of a pair of shorts I bought while in Bath. Super comphy and sort of quirky - a combination I am very fond of!

I'm Back

Greetings from England!
I had an amazing last week in (mostly) sunny England, hence the lack of posting. My family and I spent some long awaited time with our relatives, which is always such a pleasure, since it rarely happens. It also brings nice change from the usual everyday routines... I guess everybody wants a bit of change. Life would be so boring.
ANYHOO here is a picture from the lovely Abbotsbury, where we stayed the last two days of the trip. Going there always reminds me of when we were really young and were staying at my granparents' homey farmhouse. During the beginning of the week we stayed near the bustling city of Bath, where I got down to some serious shopping... More pictures are yet to come, including some of the things I bought last week. Until then, soak in the sun, water and love.
