Ivory

Isn't it lovely with the sun out and shining? Most of us head out to catch the light as soon as we can in order to gain a bit of colour. However, some of us can't get any colour and have to rely on sunbeds etc. They are dangerous and can kill you! Here, I attempt to save some potential skin cancer patients. Pale is also cool! These photos almost make me want to go pale....

It's a Novel

On the far right...

Heya hoy!
What a day yesterday was! Our ballet group had our annual spring performance, which is by far my favourite part in dancing ballet. Not only was performing and dancing fun, but also spending the day with friends and family, who either came to watch or to perform. Our performance was named "Novelli", as in novel, and the music was baroque, which suited the theme perfectly.
One of the funnier incidents was when it came down to the lashes. We were all to apply fake lashes on, in order for our eyes to pop out (not literally...) on stage. However, the mirrors were small and the bathrooms crowded with ballerinas complaining about how their eyes were being prodded by plastic lashes. I had little idea on how to apply fake lashes, since I had never used them before. I really have to raise my hat to those who can put them on properly after only one go....Anyways, hope your day was as pleasant as mine!

Tuesday Morning Fever

Hello all, and what a fabulous Friday it is!
As I told you, here are some pictures from the 9th Grade Gala, which was held earlier this week. The dress I wore was vintage Dior and shoes from Monki. Photo credits to Emmi Salmi.

Oscarr!

I cannot tell you all how tired, yet relieved I am right now. The next two weeks of school will be the last and therefore you start to realise weird things going on around school. When it comes to the last lesson with a certain teacher, even with the sternest ones, there comes a speech. An awkward speech during which you really do not know what to say. Reminiscing on the past three years of middle school and thanking for the hard work is nice and kind, but hearing it from teachers, who you know really don't enjoy teaching this group is plain queer.
All the same, I know middle school has been a hell of a three year experience, through which teenage girls and boys do some serious growing up. (some more than others, of course...) I thank all my friends, with whom I have tons of lovely memories. Everything from doing public Tai Chi to the numerous sleepovers around the country. The list of memories goes on and will continue to do so. All my love x

Glitz, Glam and School Assembly Halls

What a day! I underwent a huge adrenaline rush right in the morning when we held the traditional "9th Grade Gala" at school. This is a very informal and fun event, where students of the final year get the chance to pick fun of the teachers and school, perform music and DRESS UP :D I was a part of the organizing group, which meant that there was PLENTY to do until the very last minute. Since my main task was to come up with the music that would play while the awards were given out and when we walked in and out of the assembly hall, I really tried to find some banging music. The Strokes, Best Coast, Adam Tensta and Nicki Minaj all joined in the fun and really worked the event. Usually Nicki Minaj doesn't do it with me, since I tend to prefer more of the alternative/rock music, but when you have the right people, the right mood and the right place, "Check It Out" sounds fantastic.
I'd post pictures from the event in this post, but unfortunately I don't have the pictures. A few of my friends, however, agreed to take photos of the gala, so I'll post some of them as soon as I get them!

Spring Awakening

Heya!
It feels like time is moving along fast as a train, while at the same time, I often hope it could pass quicker. The whole year has been increadibly hectic with working up for the final year in basic education and planning future studies. Atleast now all the stressful schoolwork is over and done with, so it is time to unwind and enjoy speding time with our friends.
A few weeks back my family and I visited our cottage, where the sun was radiating its tender bright light, which I could not leave unrecorded. Hope you like 'em!

Something amazing!
I was searching the vast internet, yet again in hope of finding cool and new pictures for my blog, and bingo! I found this website with some truly stunning pictures. You can browse through different photographers' works and find your fave(s). Here are a few that really stood out for me.

White

Happy May!
First of all, I absolutely loved the royal wedding which was held on Friday. My mummy and I both rushed home after school and work, since here in Finland it wasn't a public holiday. Luckily, we managed to see practically the whole beauty, which ofcourse made me HAVE to compose a post on white. Yes, white isn't a colour technically, but it's what some pretty things are.

Vogue never fails

I don't know how to look at this, but it's mezmerizing.

perfection. love.
